Since you have managed to find us in the wide array of information about Alzheimer’s, I’d like to thank you for taking the time to read our corporate blog.

An estimated 34 million people are currently affected with Alzheimer’s disease (what we commonly refer to as AD), a number that is expected to double in the next twenty years. The people who suffer are some of the most cherished people in our lives: parents, and grandparents, thus, the importance of finding a treatment for the disease cannot be understated.

You will notice that there is a lot of information about AD circulating through various news agencies, with seemingly new studies coming out almost weekly. Though these studies seem independent, they are more aptly viewed as pieces of a puzzle. The goal of Alzheimer’s research is to be able to address and identify the root cause in order to take preventative action to avoid the onset of the disease. Each new study offers us a potential lead that may or may not fit with other pieces of research.

Our approach at Curaxis is unique. We understand the devastating effects of this fatal disease, and feel the greatest sense of urgency to provide a meaningful treatment. We are focused on the all important root cause of AD. Our research centers on the activity of neurons in the cell division cycle, and abnormalities that occur that are an indicator for the onset of AD. While our team remains focused on our own path to the cure, we are connected with the entire research community, and actively search and read each new study in order to evaluate its merit.

Our Curaxis Team blog is the epicenter for a collection of this new, evolving information on Alzheimer’s disease. It is more than just a source of information. It is a place we would like you to come to and be an active member of our conversation. You will see important articles, as well as the latest information from our team of research professionals.

We welcome your comments, and we look forward to you being a part of our team.
